EPIC -  This two-channel video installation showcases two knights in shining armor, unarmed, dueling in the forest on a rainy day. Neither are capable of speech. Inspired by "The Cloven Viscount," a short novel written by Italo Calvino, this piece exploits the aesthetic and iconic qualities of dueling and points to an inherent antagonism within our contemporary social landscape. The videos are projected in a corner - one channel on each wall - large enough to show the Knights life-size. The soundtrack, captured from inside the knights' armors, completes the installation with a surreal, thunderous atmosphere.
